What you dream about when you have not one, but two, terrible deadlines:

- Your radio won't stop playing when you turn it off. It won't stop even when you yank out the batteries. It is still playing while you beat it with a hammer.
- A smiling woman passes you, then suddenly puts you in a headlock and jams a lit cigarette against your temple.
- You hear a baby crying in an empty house. No worries, you will breast feed it. When you pick it up, you realize there's not one baby, but two. And your milk won't come.

Oh, April, much empathy! I've had versions of that last dream - just agonizing. Is there anything you can do to get the deadlines changed? Or to give yourself some extra time/space/treats while dealing with them?
I think what I need to is not look ahead and freak out. Let today be enough for today, and then forget it, good or bad, at the end of the day.

The deadlines, I'm afraid, are not really changeable.
Oh, how dreadful. I used to have this dream where I was at a friend's house watching her kids and a monster was coming. I knew the kids were in danger and I would be trying to get them to hide, but they wouldn't stay hidden. Terrible impending doom feeling.

These days I mostly wander through incredibly complex buildings full of empty hallways, looking for the bathroom...the glamor of aging :)
