English not as a second, but perhaps as an eighth language

Lately, the Internet seems to be full of stuff written by people with only the loosest grasp of the English language.

Take this snippet that popped up for a site supposedly selling one of my books:

Shock Point NEW by April Henry
I am very impressed with your item but more so with your customer service. This shock point new by april henry is very high pleasant for a very comparatively cheap price.

That's me, striving for "very high pleasant."

Or go looking for medical symptoms, and you might run across some weird site called ehealthme.com that asks this vitally important question:

For patients like me, how are my drugs?

I don't know about you, but I'm always asking myself that.
