The true terror of book signings

A funny piece in the London Observer looks at some of the perils of book signings (especially when no one actually wants a signature).

One example:

"How would you like it signed?" I ask, opening the page, and lifting my pen.

"Oh, just to me."

"Remind me how to spell your name, will you?"

"It's Tom!"
