So the Police are getting back together for a 30-year reunion tour. I'm clearly old. Every Little Thing You Do is magic used to be "our" song, back when it seemed like you need a song to prove you were a couple. And we even saw the Police in concertat Portland's Memorial Coliseum. It was terrifying. It was festival seating, meaning you paid one price and had no assigned seat. When they opened the doors, there was a mad rush.
I remember being so afraid I would fall and be trampled, being pushed against a policeman's horse, holding onto my then boyfriend's hand for dear life. A few months later, a lot of people were killed at a Who concert, and that was the end of festival seating.
