Stuff like this makes it all worthwhile

I got this email today:

" I thought I would tell you that I just finished reading Shock Point and enjoyed it very much. I found your book by looking at the shelf
that has the teen books on it at our library. I picked it up and read some of it and thought wow this sounds real good. I checked it out and when I got home and started reading it I couldn't put it down. I thoroughly enjoyed it, considering I am 70 years old . But age doesn't mean anything, it all depends on how a person looks at it. Thanks for writing such an excellent book."

It is the coolest feeling to know that a woman I have never met enjoyed something I created. That we are connected even if we will never meet face to face. For so long, the only people who read what I wrote were related to me by either blood or friendship.
