I read a young adult thriller this weekend called Acceleration. It won the Edgar award a few years ago. Of all the mystery awards, the Edgar, Agatha, Anthony, it's the one that's most respected. (And I say that as a finalist for both an Agatha and an Anthony). The Edgar isn't a fan award, but rather represents the consensus of a committee.
I would love to win an Edgar.
Acceleration was Mcnamee's third or fourth book. It also seems to have been his last. That's kind of disconcerting.
