Is it "cheating" to listen to a book?

Apparently, some folks think so. Read more here. I can see that if the audio has been condensed, but if it's a straight on version of the book, I've got no quibbles.

Me? My parents (now just my mom) live a five-hour drive away. Four if I really, really speed. Which I don't like to do when the kid's in the car. Audiobooks have literally saved my life.

Listening isn't exactly the same as reading, but it's pretty damn close. I don't think it's a sin to listen to a book. And Kavalier and Clay occupied an entire drive, there and back, for which I will always be thankful.
