What the snarky guy who answered 911 said

"Ma'am, homeless people go into the trash bins to get cans."

For the third time, I had to explain to him that the man Teen and I saw in downtown Portland leaning into a large circular cement trash bin from which he had removed the lid was not moving. At all. We watched him for a couple of minutes as we waited for our light to change. He was completely still. You could only see his back and his legs - the rest of him was inside the trash bin.

Snarky 911 guy also kept asking me if things were north or south. Like I know. Also questioned the veracity of my statement that it had been five minutes since we saw him.
