This is it - can you cheer me on?

Okay, I have to hit the send key on this book today. Yesterday I wrote the denouement and the last few lines of the book. Those things are always hard. I mean - endings! How do you end something in a way that resonates?

Today I need to finish writing the climactic scene. I haven't even exactly figured out how it's going to be resolved. It will be your standard -"just when everything looks darkest, something happens to turn it around." It's that "something" I need to work on.

Plus I need to clean up about seven chapters. And finish two Powerpoints and take the car into the shop.

Whatever words of encouragement you could give me would be welcome.

Finished!

I hit the send key at 11:27. While I know many people can pull off marathon writing sessions, I hope never again to spend 10 hours writing.

But it's done! Thank you for all your encouragement.

Now it's off to spend the rest of my evening with two men: Ben and Jerry.
