Blogging as a character - about real things

I've seen blogs supposedly done by a character in a book. I would suspect one problem would be coming up with material.

Here's one author's solution. In First Daughter: Extreme American Makeover, 16-year-old Sameera “Sparrow” Righton blogs about what it's like to be adopted Pakistani daughter of a Republican candidate who undergoes a makeover to make her "more American." In Sparrowblog, the character looks at the lives of the children of presidential candidates.

It's an interesting idea. Maybe if I have a lot of free time (Full disclosure: ha ha ha!) I can start a blog about environmental concerns when Fire, Kiss, Electric Chair comes out.
