Imagine having Maurice Sendak and Kate DiCamillo in your classroom, talking about Where the Wild Things Are and Because of Winn-Dixie. The website TeachingBooks.net, which was launched in 2003, is giving more and more students the opportunity to learn about their favorite authors and books through the interactive website.
=============
This sounded pretty cool to me, even though the way they wrote this lead, it seemed like Kate and Maurice would jointly discuss Where the Wild Things Are.
And it gave me a little thrill to see my web site listed among the hundreds of author web sites, as well as an interview I did with teensreadtoo.com. Sometimes I forget that _I_ am an author.
What I would like would be one of the people with their own video on this site. I have no idea how that happens. I'm just starting to do school visits. I've done three, with several more booked between now and the end of the year. And I continue to do some of the things you typically do to promote adult books, such as bookstore visits and talks.

I need a better term than "adult books" to describe the other books I've written. Thoughts?
