In the summer, my eyes are always bigger than my actual ability to eat all the bounty. So I try to freeze as much as I can. I bought 10 pounds of pie cherries (those bright red tart ones) this morning (special ordered from the farmer's market) and will probably try to do the same Thursday at a different farmer's market.
I have figured out that I can pit 50 cherries by hand in about two minutes.
Any guesses on how long it will take me to pit 10 pounds? And yes, I know there is a variable missing.
