I called the church later and the pastor answered. I told him I found it offensive that his church was taking a political position. He said something along the lines of he didn't like how Sara Palin was being treated - and that's what his sermon had been about. I said the reader board was anti-Obama. Obama did, after all, write a book called The Audacity of Hope. The pastor claimed the phrasing was just a coincidence, and that Obama didn't have a lock on the word Audacity.
John McCain has a book called Faith of My Fathers. I wonder how the pastor would feel if he saw a church reader board that said "Fake - and Lies and Slander - of My Fathers."
