Will blog for books?

One of my publishers, Thomas Nelson, has started a program that provides bloggers with free review copies of some titles. In exchange, the blogger promises to post a review of at least 200 words on a blog and at Amazon.com.

Nelson CEO Mike Hyatt says, "My goal is to have a rich database of bloggers who are actively selecting Thomas Nelson products that they are interested in to read and review. The positive reviews will be a priceless word-of-mouth marketing vehicle and the negative reviews will be a useful tool in understanding why a product might not have sold at retail."

Nelson is one of five [full disclosure: five! That kind of boggles my mind] publishers I have worked with. They have some of the most innovative PR ideas I have ever seen.
