We got more snow on Christmas. 12 days of ice and snow in a city that isn't designed for even one. We haven't had garbage pickup in two weeks, and no mail or newspaper for the last three days. Yesterday, we thought we could drive to the gym, but the streets were even worse than we thought and we ended up driving around the block. On the way back, we were fishtailing down a narrow side street lined with cars. A woman was walking in the middle of the street talking on a cell phone. We realized she wasn't going to ever get over. It's was a Christmas miracle that we didn't hit her as she waved and called out a cheery "Merry Christmas" while we managed to slide past her, only inches away.
