A month ago I called it improbable, but true. Now it's only one of those things.
The story about the Jewish boy, held in a concentration camp, and the Jewish girl, disguised as a Christian, who would throw him apples over the fence, now has been revealed to be too good to be true. The publisher has canceled the memoir. The movie is supposedly scheduled to go on, only now as fiction. The children's picture book has already been published but it's hard to imagine it will sell a ton of copies now.
