Maybe. I don't know. I do know I am on a listserv for mystery authors, half of them self-published (let me just say: bad, bad idea), and many of them are now pouring even more money into making video trailers for their books (and I'm thinking again: quite likely bad, bad idea).
I've posted before about this.
I'm just not sure that's the right way to connect with readers. It's using one experience to sell another. Although I see plenty of ads for food on TV, and that must work. Although if more and more people crank these things out, who will see them? What do you think?
