Obama has good taste in books

On his vacation, he brought with him:

The Way Home by George Pelecanos [Read my post on his 1.5 million advance.]
Lush Life by Richard Price [Full disclosure: Good. But Clockers was better]
Hot, Flat, and Crowded by Tom Friedman
John Adams by David McCullough
Plainsong by Kent Haruf [How can he not have read this book yet? It is beautiful. I reviewed the follow-up, The Tie That Binds, and the publisher used the quote and my name in a big ad in the NY Times. Well my name, and a lot of other reviewer's names. But still, v. cool.]
