This is a big DON'T - at least for me

I'm on a listserv for mystery writers. One woman has been posting about how she manages to sell her self-published book where ever she goes. She pitches the book to her dentist, lab techs, and other people she meets. If they bite, she runs out to her car and returns with copies.

The other day she was boasting about having sold mysteries at three funerals.

While I don't believe in self-publishing, I do believe in self-promotion.

To a point.

And then there's a line. As in "line I can't see myself crossing."

This kind of reminds of the horror stories editors had.
