There was one part of the movie that really bugged me. The pacing seemed off. It was when Susie's sister breaks into the killer's house, discovers his notes about killing women, is discovered in turn, and barely manages to escape a clearly homicidal George Harvey.
Clutching the evidence, she runs into the house. Her mom has returned home. Then the whole movie goes kind of slo-mo, as the dad and the mom look at each other, and everyone hugs. The momentum just leaks away. I don't care that Gabie hasn't seen her mom in a while - she just escaped a killer! She knows who killed her sister!
Was anyone else bothered by that?
