The literature of betrayal

For every famous person, there is another, usually much-less-famous one who got left in the dust. And some of those folks go on to write tell-alls - often memoirs, sometimes disguised as novels (Little Pink Slips, by the former head of McCalls magazine comes to mind).

The Daily Beast takes a look at what it calls the literature of betrayal, including new books by John Edwards’ former lackey and an insider account of Elliot Spitzer’s brief reign as governor.
