I don't know whether to be jealous or ...?

Who know if it's a marketing stunt (Full disclosure: of course it is, but is it anything more?), but HarperCollins has just put out a book by a 13 year old with a 50,000 first copy printing. (Full disclosure number two: the average author is lucky if the first printing is 10,000.)

Nancy Yi Fan's story began with a dram of two groups of birds, cardinals and blue jays, struggling for freedom. "When I woke up, I just couldn't help it," she recalls. "I just had to hatch my bird story."
