Making a living in books - and feeling guilty about it

There are so many odd niches for making money. One guy wrote a piece about how he works as many as 80 hours buying and selling books.

"I heard about what you're doing," says someone from my old MFA program. "It's a really creative way of educating yourself."

"I don't read the books," I say.

"But you … look through them?"

No—I look through the books only to see if there are marks or stains.

Armed with a scanner, he haunts rummage sales and library book sales, looking for books he can sell.

Read more about his profession that has everything - and nothing - to do with books.
