I buy a daily calendar and write down my weight, how much I wrote, and how much I exercised. After last night's seven-course meal, the number I wrote down this morning was shocking. And the amount of time it took me to run five miles was pathetic.
But you know what? There's no where to go but up (or down, in the case of my weight). And today's worst running time was also the best of the year.
It's all a matter of perspective.
