The Hypnotist is about a boy whose entire family is murdered in a Stockholm suburb (so Swedish, check!). Whoever committed the crimes wanted this boy to die: he’s suffered more than one hundred knife wounds (so violent, check!) and lapsed into a state of shock. Desperate for information, Linna sees only one option: hypnotism. For that he needs one man who has sworn he will never use hypnotism again.
