Not jealous or anything

The Edgar nominees have been announced. These are the awards that have the most weight in the mystery world. A committee reads each of the hundreds of books nominated for a given category. Agathas and Anthonys are voted on by fans attended certain conferences, so attendance at the conference or even your personality can influence the vote. (I say this as an Agatha and Anthony nominee. I never won, although I have sat next to a person who won.)

Anyway, here are the Young Adult noms:
The Road of the Dead by Kevin Brooks (Kid read and liked Kissing in the Rain)
The Christopher Killer by Alane Ferguson
Crunch Time by Mariah Fredericks (I read and loved her Head Games)
Buried by Robin Merrow MacCready (Repped by my agent!)
The Night My Sister Went Missing by Carol Plum-Ucci (Started it but couldn't get through it. Kid finished it and said it was okay)

I will allow that I wish I had seen Shock Point on that list. But Elise Broach's Desert Crossing wasn't either, and it was damn good.
